Our research is dedicated to improving integrity of engineering components and structures used in aerospace and other safety-critical industries. We are focused on developing mathematical and computational models supported through laboratory testing to improve performance, durability and safety of operations. Further, we consider structural integrity assessment as an important part of robustness, reliability and economics of operation of structures.
Structural integrity is a multidisciplinary domain encompassing mechanical design, materials selection and characterization including stress and failure analysis, materials characterization and processing including additive manufacturing, non-destructive evaluation, fracture and damage mechanics, etc.
